Circa Rules & Guidelines

Circa is built on real connection. To keep it safe and comfortable for everyone, every Member and Voice is expected to follow these rules. Breaking them can result in a warning, temporary restrictions on your account (like losing access to Explore, messaging, or posting), or a full suspension for repeated or serious violations.

Not permitted

  • Sharing personal contact info or moving off-platform. Don't ask for or share phone numbers, social media handles, email addresses, or other messaging apps, and don't ask someone to continue your conversation outside of Circa.
  • Harassment. Repeated unwanted contact, threats, intimidation, or targeting someone after they've asked you to stop.
  • Hate speech. Attacks or slurs based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age.
  • Spam. Repetitive, unsolicited, or automated messages, mass self-promotion, or flooding chats/posts with the same content.
  • Inappropriate content. Content that violates platform content standards, including anything involving minors, non-consensual content, or content prohibited by law.
  • Impersonation. Pretending to be another person, Voice, or Circa staff member.
  • Scamming or fraud. Attempting to trick another user out of money, Circles, or personal information, or misrepresenting who you are for financial gain.
  • Sharing content off-platform. Copying, screenshotting, or reposting anything you see on Circa anywhere else, including on other websites, apps, or social media. This applies to a Voice's paid/unlocked content just as much as it applies to private messages exchanged with another user. What happens on Circa stays on Circa.
  • Hacking or gaming the system. Attempting to hack, exploit, or interfere with the Service, or using bugs or unintended behavior to gain an unfair advantage.

What's welcome here

  • Genuine, respectful conversation between Members and Voices.
  • Honest profiles and honest representation of who you are.
  • Reporting behavior that makes you uncomfortable.Use the Report option on any profile, post, or chat.

Selling on Circa

Voices are responsible for everything they list. If you sell on Circa, you are the seller of record: the item, its description, its legality, and getting it to the buyer are yours to stand behind.

You may not list or sell:

  • Weapons, ammunition, explosives, or anything designed to cause harm.
  • Drugs, alcohol, tobacco, vaping products, or prescription medication or supplements.
  • Counterfeit goods, replicas sold as genuine, or anything that infringes someone else's trademark or copyright.
  • Live animals, or anything made from protected or endangered species.
  • Stolen goods, or anything you do not have the right to sell.
  • Anything involving a minor, in any form.
  • Bodily fluids, or items presented as used in a sexual context.
  • Financial instruments, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or account access of any kind.
  • Recalled or unsafe products, or anything requiring a licence you do not hold.
  • Personal information about anyone, including yourself.
  • Anything illegal to sell or ship where you or the buyer are located.

Do not use a listing to arrange something that would break these rules elsewhere, and do not use a listing to move a transaction off Circa.

We can remove any listing at any time, and repeatedly breaking these rules will cost you Shop access and may cost you your account. If you are unsure whether something is allowed, ask us before you list it.

Buying on Circa

Circa runs the Shop as a marketplace. Your contract for an item is with the Voice selling it, not with Circa.

If you buy a physical item, the seller is given the delivery address and contact number you enter at checkout. They need it to post the item to you. Only order a physical item if you are comfortable sharing that with the person selling it. Digital items never require an address.

If an order does not arrive or does not match its description, contact the seller first through Circa. If that does not resolve it, report it to us through the Bug Report option in your Settings.

How enforcement works

If you're found to have broken one of these rules, you'll receive a warning by email and in-app notification explaining what happened and what (if anything) is restricted on your account, and for how long. Repeated warnings can lead to longer restrictions or a permanent suspension.

If you believe you've received a warning in error, use the Bug Report / Support option in your Settings to reach our team.
